About Hayley Tumanjan, CPA:Dec

After graduating from Long Beach State in 2005 with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, she joined the largest public accounting firm, Deloitte & Touche in Los Angeles where she spent two and a half years working with clients ranging from investment firms to manufacturing & not-for profit entities. During her time at Deloitte, she audited several multi-billion dollar investment and real estate companies including Canyon Capital Advisors, Capital Group, and CB Richard Ellis, as well as one of the largest charitable organization in the United States, The Salvation Army. In 2007 she joined Canyon Capital Advisors, a $23 billion multi-strategy alternative asset manager in Century City, CA. Over her five years there, her work was focused on accounting for multi-billion dollar portfolios of private investments, as well as monitoring the various tax requirements and legal frameworks of those segments. During her time at Canyon, she spearheaded the implementation of the new fair value accounting regulations across all financial statements for the firm, as mandated by US GAAP and IASB. She then began working with Ishigami, Ishigami & Ochi, LLP providing tax and other business services to individuals, as well as small & large, national & international businesses alike. Founding her own firm means doing things her way, and bringing the efficiency and service to you.

About Maria Tumanjan:

Maria graduated from California State University, Long Beach in May of 2005 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Accounting. Soon after graduation, she joined the Ernst & Young LLP accounting firm in Irvine, California as a staff auditor. Maria worked on various industries, but her primary clients were real estate and healthcare companies. She worked in the Irvine office for five years until she transferred to the firm’s Richmond office where she became an audit manager. She worked in the Richmond office for about a year and continued to serve real estate and healthcare clients. After her husband was finished with military school in Virginia, he received orders to be stationed back in California. Maria then transferred to the firm’s Los Angeles Office and primarily worked on real estate clients until January 2014. Her expertise includes working with multi-location, publicly traded and non-publicly traded companies with revenues exceeding $9.9 billion. In 2014, before the birth of her second child, she decided to take a break from her career to focus on raising her two little children and being more involved with her husband’s unit. Maria currently volunteers for her husband’s unit at Recruiting Station Ft. Lauderdale. She enjoys cooking and baking and of course shopping.
